Greetings in the name of our Lord!
As followers of Christ, we should recognize this week as "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!" It is a time that we take time to reflect upon and celebrate the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord. Hopefully, you have all taken the time to spend time with your family this weekend. Additionally, I hope that you have set time aside to spend with Jesus. Let us be intentional about putting aside all of the things that so easily distract us so that we can concentrate on Him and all that He has done. Let us not be so consumed with the holiday that we miss the Holy One. If nothing else, we should take the time to reflect on all of the things in our lives that Christ had to die for and thank him for His grace.
Never take the privilege of coming to the House of Worship lightly. We must be mindful this week that not everyone in our world has the privilege to openly worship Christ without the threat of violence. We should pause to pray for those Christians who worship with the knowledge that being discovered could literally cause them to be persecuted. We should also continue to pray for those who are not able to attend church due to being sick and shut in. Finally, on this weekend that is often dedicated to family, we should take the time to check in on those who have lost loved ones and feel the pain of loss and loneliness in this season.
With all of this being said, our predominant focus should still be the excitement and joy that comes with knowing that He is alive and lives within our hearts! I encourage you to set down your reservations and inhibitions and give God your BEST praise today! I promise you that it will not cost you a dime nor will you lose your status in life. In fact, you might just feel a little bit better. So feel free to open your mouth and bless Him with your full being as we celebrate resurrection!!
I love you, aint a thang you can do about it,
