Greetings in the name of our Lord!
My continued thanks to all of you who continue to pray for your Pastor and family in our hour of need. As I have been attending to my family's immediate needs, I have not written a full letter in a few weeks. My hope is to return to this practice soon and I ask that you continue to extend grace as we walk into our new normal.
I do want to take a moment to briefly extend a word of encouragement to you all. Life can sometimes feel like an endless series of unfortunate events. It can be easy for us as Christians to lose focus and forget where our help comes from. This is a reminder that you will find everything that you need for every situation in the presence of our Lord. Do not let frustration, worry, and doubt take root in your life. Whatever you face, no matter how many times you face it, God WILL see you through. Trust and believe, read His Holy Word, pray without ceasing and seek the company and council of wise believers. I empathize with you but Christ KNOWS you. He will never leave you alone!
I love you, aint a thang you can do about it!
We have been having a wonderful time in the Lord with our 15 minutes of power in prayer every Wednesday at noon. If you can make the time, we would love for you to join us and be blessed!

Church Announcements—April 7, 2019
The Harkness and Tanner families would like to extend our most sincere thanks for the outpouring of love that we have received in this time of bereavement. Services for our dearly departed Cecelia Harkness will take place on Friday, April 5, 2019, at Mt Zion Church of Oakwood Village. The church is located at 1 Mt. Zion Circle Oakwood Village, OH 44146. We will honor her life with an Ivy Beyond the Wall Ceremony (Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.) which will begin at 9:30 am. Time for family visitation will follow at 10:00 am and Homegoing Services will begin at 10:30 am.
One of Cecelia's passions was education and, specifically, helping deserving students find the resources needed for college attendance. With this in mind, in lieu of flowers or other gifts, we respectfully ask that those who wish to honor her legacy make a donation to the Cecelia Tanner Harkness Scholarship Fund. The Fund will be managed by the Linking Partnership Opportunities Foundation (LPO) in partnership with Lambda Phi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Contributions can be made by accessing the following link:
Those who prefer writing a check can make them out to LPO Foundation, Inc. Checks should be mailed to LPO Foundation P.O. Box 22316 Beachwood, OH 44122. For either method of contribution, please note "Cecelia Tanner Harkness Scholarship Fund" in the memo line.
God bless you all and please continue to keep us in your prayers and thoughts as we continue on this journey.
