I am still overwhelmed and filled with joy after our installation celebration last week. I would like to publicly thank the entire congregation for all of the love and support. I would like to specifically thank our deacons, trustees, choir, ushers, the Sunshine & Facilities Committees and all of the other members and committees who aided in making Installation Sunday a spirit filled moment. My family and friends from far and near consistently remarked on the kindness and grace shown by our church. From my heart to yours, THANK YOU!!
This week's prayer focus is that we would each make time for the self-care that we all need to remain as effective in ministry as possible. I am asking that each of us pray that God would compel us to meet the needs of our total selves; mind, body and spirit. These three areas require a balance of exercise, rest, sustenance and abstinence. May we seek God's peace in the midst of seasons where we may feel overwhelmed and pressured to constantly run to and fro.
May the peace of God rest upon you and your house!
